William Taft Hudson

William Taft (W.T.) Hudson

He was born May 23, 1946 in Enville, TN the son of the late William Howard Taft Hudson and Buelah Inetha Plunk. Mr. Hudson departed this life on October 25, 2018 in Sardis, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days.

He grew up in Enville and Sardis, TN. He worked at Roach's Sawmill for several years before moving to Memphis, TN. Here he worked as a lead machinist for Southern Systems, Inc. for several years. He returned to Sardis in 1992. He loved buying, selling and trading and owned K & T Auction in Milledgeville and worked for TLC Furniture in Reagan.
W.T. was quite a prankster and enjoyed "picking at" folks. He loved his family and enjoyed all of his extended family.

He is survived by a son, William Timothy "Tim" Hudson (Christy) of Sardis; three daughters Marilyn Ann Long (Toby) and Margaret Annette Sickler (Bruce) both of Sardis, Brandy Christine Barnes (Steve) of Savannah; four brothers Kenneth Hudson (Judy) of Sardis; Larry Hudson (Wilma) and Dwight Hudson (Carol) both of Reagan, Jerry Hudson (Brenda) of Beech Bluff; two sisters Jimmie Nell Tucker (Terry) of Enville, Karen Woodard (Randell) of Hartsell, AL; eight grandchildren Emily Wood (Cody), Christina Millner (Rowdy), Jonathan Long (Shelle), Amber Mitchell, Steven Barnes, Makayla Barnes, Caleb Hudson, Nathan Sickler (Mandy); and seven great grandchildren Taylor and Tanner Millner, Lily and Sawyer Wood, Gabe and Arabella Sickler and Jeremiah Hudson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by a sister Gloria Patricia Hudson.
