Mr. William Dean Jackson, age 80 of Bolivar, passed from this life Tuesday morning, June 23, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Funeral services for Mr. Jackson will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 26, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Middleton. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Friday from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Reaves Cemetery.
William Dean Jackson was born March 17, 1935, to Q.T. Jackson, and Martha Ellarine McKinnie. He was married on December 13, 1958, to Lille Bell Davis. He was a timber cutter. He worked with Dorris Gene Howell, James Naylor, and David Dorris. He was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church, and was baptized in 1948. He served in the US Army in the late '50's. He lived all of his life in Hardeman county.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Jackson of Bolivar; his daughter, Sandy Sullivan (Richard) of Bolivar; his son, Tommy Jackson (Genie) of Henderson; his five sisters, Sara McCord, Dorothy Vickers, Judy McAlpin and Frankie Webb of Middleton, and Martha Alice Moore (David) of Hendersonville; a brother, Parnell Jackson (Burnell) of Middleton; two grandchildren, Corey Sullivan and Justin Sullivan (Robin); and three great-grandchildren, Owen, Luke, and Maeson Sullivan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Q.T. Jackson and Martha Ellarine McKinnie, and a great-granddaughter, Lillian Sullivan. Family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society(www.cancer.org/donate).
