William Rayburn Lee

Henderson: William Rayburn Lee, age 92, died Saturday morning July 11, 2015 at Jackson General Hospital.

Mr. Lee was born and reared in McNairy County near Adamsville, the son of the late Robert Enloe and Ruthe Evelyn Austin Lee. He attended schools in McNairy County and farmed with his family in Chester and McNairy Counties. He moved to Henderson in 1939 and in 1965 married Lorece Robertson of Wildersville in Henderson County. They made their home in Henderson where Mr. Lee farmed and did carpenter work. He retired from carpentry in 1994.
He was a member of Cabo Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon.

He is survived by his with Lorece Robertson Lee and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Leon Lee and Wilson Lee, and four sisters; Gladys Stewart, Hazel Hughes, Mildred Cobb, and Georgia Cagle.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Dennis Lunsford and Bro. Ricky Tedford officiating. Burial will follow at Hare Cemetery near Lexington.

The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM Monday.
