Henderson, TN: William Ken Pierce, age 78, passed away October 1, 2015 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born January 11, 1937 in Chester County and reared in the Jacks Creek Community, the son of the late William Howard and Mary Ruth Melton Pierce. He went to school at Jacks Creek and Henderson.
He was raised on a farm and worked part time at Miller’s Big Star. He had lived at Heritage Towers from 2004 to 2012 when he began making his home at Henderson Healthcare. He was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ.
Ken was an avid sports fan, always watching the Tennessee Volunteers and watching and listening to the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by a sister, Peggy Siler of Henderson; two nephews, Steve Siler and wife Anna of Lexington, SC and Ted Siler and wife Amy of Henderson, two nieces, Penny Brasfield of Jackson and Jennifer Siler of Henderson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Ben Flatt. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery at Jacks Creek.
The family will receive friends at Casey chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday.
