Rev. William (Dink) Plunk was born January 31, 1936 in Hardin, TN the son of the late Aubrey and Ruby Greene Plunk.
He was united in marriage to Doris Faye Parrot on August 17, 1957.
Rev. William "Dink" Plunk worked as a millwright in commercial construction traveling to Florida, Texas, Illinois, Kentucky, South Carolina, California, Alabama, and Tennessee. He was a United Pentecostal ordained pastor for over 43 years having pastored at Counce UPC, Lawrenceburg UPC, and Beauty Hill UPC. He was a member of the New Life United Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennessee and Local Millwright Union of Corinth, MS.
He was affectionately called by his family and friends "Dink." A nickname penned to him at a young age. He enjoyed fishing, traveling to the mountains and especially to Florida. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and brother.
Rev. William "Dink" Plunk departed this life on May 28, 2017 in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 3 Months, 28 Days. He is survived by his wife, Doris F. Plunk of Savannah, TN; a daughter, Myra Ann Plunk of Counce, TN; a son, Jeff Plunk of St. Louis, MO; three brothers, Bill Plunk and wife Mollie of Adamsville, TN, Jerry Plunk and wife Bettye of Stantonville, TN, Mike Plunk and wife Mary Gwin of Savannah, TN; two sisters, Linda Rinks of Spring City, TN, Sandra Curlin and husband Larry of Jackson, TN; sister-in-law, Jodie Plunk of Savannah, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Plunk was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Lee Lawson; a brother, Joe Don Plunk; brother-in-law, W.H. Rinks.
