William Pope

William Earl Pope was born on March 13, 1951 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Earnie Brown Pope and Gladys May Inman Pope. Mr. Pope was a Wayne County 1969 Highschool graduate, a Brick Mason, and worked for Gensco Boot Manufacturing for many years. Mr. Pope departed this life on August 15, 2021 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 5 Months, and 2 Days.

He is survived by three daughters, Penny Lane Pope of Savannah, TN,Lyndsey Morgan of Adamsville, and Chelsea (Brown) Beckham of Waynesboro, TN, TN; two brothers, A.B. Pope of Waynesboro, TN, and James Franklin Pope of Waynesboro, TN; and five grandchildren, Samuel Morgan, Elijah Morgan, Aleyna Kalayci, Aydin Kalayci, and Levi Beckham.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pope was preceded in death by two brothers, M.T. Pope, and Jerry Pope; and a sister, Mable Ingram.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, TN with N.J. Pope officiating with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

The burial of his cremated remains will be held at a later date at Buchanan Cemetery.
