WILLIAM ROARK
Bethel Springs, TN: William Lee Roark age 69 passed away April 30, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born April 12, 1947 in Chester County, the Haltom’s Chapel community, the son of the late William Mack and Gladys Marie Dickson Roark. He graduated Chester County High School. He entered the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and Italy during the Vietnam War. He married Mary JoAnn Morris and they made their home in Henderson. He had worked in commercial construction working for Charles Markham Construction and Milan Decorators. He married Debbie Pickett and they made their home in Chester and McNairy Counties.
He loved to operate his backhoe, boats, and loved to fish and coon hunt.
Mr. Roark is survived by his wife Debbie Pickett Roark of Bethel Springs; a daughter, Tina Roark of Henderson; two grandchildren, Hailey Lynn Hopper and Hanna Jo Hopper; a sister, Jewel Wyatt and husband Jerry of Henderson and nieces and nephews, Wayne Holmes, Marie Simpson, Janice Beshires, Julia Davis and Billy Wayne Roark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, W.M. (Mack) Roark and a sister, Maxine Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Mickey Jackson and Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Haltom’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday.
