William Robert "Boe" Cossar, Jr.

Mr. William Robert "Boe" Cossar, Jr, 89, of Bolivar, departed this life on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Bolivar General Hospital.

Born in Saulsbury, the son of the late William Robert, Sr. and Grace Maddox Cossar, he was a life-long resident of Hardeman County.  He was united in marriage to Gladys Marie Vickers, who survives, on January 15, 1956, and was a 60-year employee of Frost Well Supply in Hickory Valley.  A Baptist in belief, Mr. Cossar enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending his tomato gardens every year.  He excelled as a baseball coach having led his son's teams in Minor League, Little League and Babe Ruth League.

In addition to his wife of 68 years, Mr. Cossar leaves his daughters, Debbie Cole of Bolivar and Melissa Dawn Hamberger (Martin) of Geneva, Switzerland; his son, William Robert "Billy" Cossar, III (Sharon) of Bolivar; five grandchildren, Chris Deming (Jamie), Brittany Deming, Jack Hamberger, Blane Cossar (Tahanna) and Austin Cossar; and eight great-grandchildren, Abram and Eli Deming, Liam and Lexi Helton, Savannah Lee, Kiley Collins, Tansley and Taylon Cossar.

He was preceded in death, also, by two sisters, Shirley Ann Williams and Betty Lou Jacobs, both of Bolivar.
