William Larry Roser

William Larry Roser, born January 15, 1943, married Nancy Jane Chisholm on November 13, 1962, They have two children, Chris Roser (Mindy) and Jane Ann Gobbell (Stephen); six grandchildren, Crestus William Roser, Karlie Roser Carroll (Jake), Stephen M. Gobbell, II (Mollie), David Chisholm Gobbell (Makena), Calvin Thomas Gobbell (Leandra), and Cliff Edward Roser, who is deceased; and nine great grandchildren, Sadie, Charli, Brooks, Lacey Ann, Claire, Swayze, Chisholm, James, and Caroline.

Roser Handle Mill was Larry's career, but music was his passion. In his high school days, Larry would play the drums for the Super Chargers band at TeenTown and later the Flashbacks! Music led him to meet many people from different walks of like, which gave him lots of stories to always share including getting a hug from Taylor Swift.

Larry was an active member in the Savannah Jaycees, as well as coaching several minor and little league teams of Savannah. He would later help form the Savannah Quarterback Club that is today the Big Maroon Club. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where he served in many areas over the past years.

Larry would not ever want to be publicly recognized as such a giving person, but God blessed him that he loved more than anything giving to others.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Roser; grandson, Cliff Roser; and several furry friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Darryl Worley Cancer Center or charity of your choice.
