William Roy Smith

William Roy Smith was born January 2, 1939 in Henderson, TN, the son of the late Clifford and Vivian Jones Smith.

He was united in marriage to Annette Henry on December 28, 1963. Mrs. Smith preceded him in death on October 3, 2008.

Mr. Smith was retired from United Transportation as a dispatcher and was a truck driver for various companies over the years. He loved driving trucks, his family, and especially all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Smith departed this life on June 7, 2015 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 5 Months, 5 Days.

He is survived by a daughter, Regina Pearson and husband Tim of Selmer, TN; his siblings: Robbie Stanfill of Henderson, TN, Bobby Smith and wife Elaine of Henderson, TN, Glenn Smith and wife Jo of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Stephanie Morris and companion Eric Smith, Adam Morris and wife Nichole; six great grandchildren: Hunter Pearson, Austyn Pearson, Gage Morris, Abby Clark, Greenlee Morris and Nevaeh Smith.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by three siblings: Jaunez Knipper, Sue Naylor and Ruth Spencer.
