William David Smith was born in Savannah, Tennessee, March 25, 1945, the son of the late William Harold and Frankie Kerr Smith.
He served a tour in Vietnam while serving in the United States Army. He was a self-employed City Planner working for the cities of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee. He also worked for the city of Knoxville, Tennessee in their school system. He was a collector of art, pottery and antiques. He loved architecture and design.
Mr. Smith departed this life in Savannah, Tennessee, March 14, 2014, at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 17 days.
He is survived by his brother, Donald Smith and his wife, Sandra Corben-Smith of Vonore, Tennessee; and a nephew, Nicholas Corben-Smith of Dallas, Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth Smith.
