William Lynn Stevenson departed this life on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 13 days. He was born in Martin, Tennessee, the son of Bill Stevenson and the late Sylvia Oleda Bradley Stevenson. On March 19, 1992, he was united in marriage to Shirley Harville, who survives.
William retired from Aqua Glass where he was a chemical mixer and also worked for Burger King as a manager in maintenance. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle...he was one of the gentlest men you'd ever meet. William enjoyed watching Bob Villa on TV, being outdoors, fishing on his boat named "visitation", and liked fixing things. He was a full time minister and an associate pastor at Gospel of Peace Church. William loved God with all his heart and followed him wherever he was called.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Stevenson of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Jeremy Stevenson and his wife Melissa of Leighton, Alabama, Jason Stevenson of Santa Rosa, Florida, Windy Rippy of Savannah, Tennessee, and Latasha Harville of Savannah,Tennessee; father, Bill Stevenson of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Sanja Reeves and her husband Virgil, and Juanita McBride and her husband Tim, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Elizabeth Stevenson, Logan Austin, Chesseney Stevenson, Creed Stevenson, Jacob Rippy, Sarah-Grace Rippy, Whitney Ponds, Nicholas Ponds, Christian Middleton, and Kyle Middleton; and great grandchildren, Camryn Caldron and Jaxton Harville.
In addition to his mother, William was preceded in death by a daughter Tanya Middleton; grandchildren, Timothy Harville, Jeremiah Harville, and Dylan Wade; and sisters, Rowena Benson and Paula Louise Stevenson.
