William H. Westbrooks

William H. Westbrooks was born October 27, 1936 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Alex and Nellie Young Westbrooks.

He was united in marriage to Mary Jo Lusk in 1958. They were married for 20 years.

Mr. Westbrooks retired from the shipping and receiving department of General Electric in Selmer, TN after 20 plus years of service. Prior to his employment with General Electric, he worked with R. K. Amos for approximately 17 years. Mr. Westbrooks loved to fish in his spare time, and was a member of Prospect CME Church.

Mr. Westbrooks departed this life on December 27, 2015 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 2 Months. He is survived by three sons: Tony Westbrooks, Steve Westbrooks and wife Patricia, and Chuck Westbrooks, all of Selmer, TN; nine grandchildren: Latoya Riddles, Cassandra Lowery, Jalessa Westbrooks, Anthony, Aaron, Austin, and Adam Westbrooks, Steven Westbrooks, and Shawntez Westbrooks; four great-grandchildren: Makayla Lowery, Tyler Riddles, Alyssa Riddles, and Nevaeh Parker; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Westbrooks was preceded in death by a son, Joe Allen Westbrooks; a daughter, Heaven Byrd; a brother, Eddie Lee Westbrooks; and two great-grandchildren, Steven Joshua Westbrooks and Elisha Jerome Westbrooks.
