Willie K. McGarity

Willie K. McGarity was born on February 1, 1935 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Vernon and Mary Isabelle Ferrell Davis.

On December 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Marion Edgar McGarity, who preceded his wife in death on June 8, 2015.

Mrs. McGarity enjoyed quilting and cooking for her family and church events. She loved her family very much and cherished the time they spent together. Willie attended Living Word Fellowship Church in Savannah, Tennessee.

Willie K. McGarity departed this life on December 9, 2024 in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 8 days.

She is survived by her sons, Randy McGarity (Penny) and Dennis McGarity (Rhonda), all of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; grandchildren, Heather Owens (William), Rachael West (Rodney), Denny McGarity (Maegan), and Randy McGarity, Jr.; and great grandchildren, Addison Young, Holly Young, Erin Kate West, Aleena Paige West, and Benjamin Tate McGarity.

In addition to her parents and husband, Willie was preceded in death by her son, Larry Wayne McGarity; sisters, Robbie Selph and Frankie Pipes; brothers, James Vernon Davis and Billy Isom Davis; and grandson, Dathan Young.
