Life Reflections
Pastor Willie C. Moore, Sr. was born in Huntingdon, TN on October 13, 1938, the youngest of a set of twin boys to the late Reverend Walter I. Moore, Sr. and Dollie B. Moore. Willie C grew up in a loving Christian home where he learned about the love of Jesus and helped his father attend to the family farm. Willie C always had a kind, loving, gentle spirit and was very protective of his family especially his twin brother, Jimmy C. which caused him to be known around school and town as Big Will!
After graduating from Webb High School and eventually moving with some of his siblings to Michigan, he learned of the Three Angel’s Message in Revelation 14. It was during this time that he joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church. After accepting the Adventist Message, Willie C studied Theology at Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) in Huntsville, AL and later earned his Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Whitehurst University in Huntsville, AL.
In the early 70s, Pastor Moore was a Founding Member of the Hillsview Seventh-day Adventist Church in Queenstown, AL (which still remains a thriving Congregation today) along with the Alves, Jackson and Ross families. Over the years, he led many precious souls to Christ while working with several Pastors, leading out in numerous Tent Revivals, holding Daniel and Revelation Seminars, and giving Bible Studies. Pastor Moore also worked as an Associate Publishing Director of Literature Evangelism in Denver, Colorado, Houston Texas, and Little Rock Arkansas.
In 1991 he married Linda Faye Woodson of Birmingham, AL. They remained devoted to each other until he took his last breath on September 11, 2020.
Pastor Moore is survived by his loving wife Linda Moore, his beloved children Kimberly (Anthony) Moore-Banks, Wiletta Shawnta Moore, Willie C. Moore Jr., and Reginald (Tammy) Rattler. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, twin brother Jimmie C. (Rena) Moore; four sisters, Freddie Mae Brooks, Mattie Faye (Holmes) Smith, Jewlean (Calvin) Taylor, and Linda Johnson; three Sister-in-Laws, Laura Jean Moore, Sue Moore, and Shirley Moore; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, and friends.
Pastor Moore is proceeded in death by his loving parents, Walter and Dollie Moore, four brothers, Walter Moore Jr., John Edward Moore, Tommy D. Moore, and James Henry Moore, and his son Ronald Rattler.
Pastor Moore loved the Lord, his family, and his church. One of the foremost burdens of his heart was to see souls saved in God’s Kingdom. Let us take up the mantle and follow his example in service to Jesus Christ, for we know His coming is near, even at the door to take us home for eternity! John 14:1-3, Blessings and Love!!
