Willie Gertrude Moore

Willie Gertrude Cheshier Moore was born June 17, 1918 in Bethel Springs, TN the daughter of the late Job and Lauarkie Plunk Cheshier. She was united in marriage to Joe Daniel Moore on February 27, 1937. Mr. Moore preceded her in death on Oct 11, 1982.

Mrs. Moore was a seamstress at Brown Shoe Company and a homemaker. She attended the Court Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Selmer, Tennessee. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, working in her flower beds, tending to her chickens, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her family and her cats.

Mrs. Moore departed this life on April 25, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 10 Months, 8 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Hughes and husband Terry of Selmer, TN; a son, Robert Allen Moore of Newnan, GA; four grandchildren, Daniel Miller, and Mathew Miller both of Selmer, TN, Joe Allen Moore and wife Penny of Corinth, MS, Randy Gerald Gates also of Corinth, MS; six great grand-children and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a son, Gary Neal Moore; and a brother, Havron Cheshier.
