Services for Willodean Burleson Hill, age 78, a resident of Wayne Care Nursing Home, formerly of Collinwood will be Monday, March 21, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Josh Stults officiating. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Kenneth David Hill, Jr., Robert Bowen, Ronnie Burleson, Cecil Sanderson, Brian Robinson, and Thomas Burleson.
Mrs. Hill was born June 27, 1932 in Collinwood, Tennessee the daughter of the late Arto C. Burleson and Georgie Adeline Dicus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Hill; son, Robert Jeffrey Hill; two brothers, Isaac T. Burleson and Joel Burleson; a sister, Betty Sue Burleson. Mrs. Hill died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro.
A well known citizen in Collinwood, she served as city recorder retiring after 36 years. She was a member of Collinwood First Baptist Church, American Legion Auxillary, and Tennessee Federation of Rebublican Women.
Survivors are son, Kenneth David Hill and wife Dawn of Cypress Inn, TN; two daughters, Brenda Jeanne Wilson and husband Scott of Florence, AL and Amy Dean Binkley and husband Jeff of Murfreesboro, TN; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Emma Lois Robinson of Olive Hill, TN, Rose Anne Hollin of Adamsville, TN, and Mary Elizabeth Reynolds of Burnt Church, TN; several nieces and nephews.
