Wilton Royce Locke of Waynesboro, TN was born May 19, 1934 in Linden, Florida, the son of Katie Jo McCormick Conway of Tarrytown, FL, who survives and the late Robert Clinton Locke. He was united in marriage to Patti Shaw, who survives, on March 1, 1982.
Mr. Locke was retired from the State of Alaska Department of Corrections, was a member and past master of Masonic Lodge, Bushnell #30, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1961.
Mr. Locke was a Christian man who loved the Lord and studying prophecy. He was proud to be a native Floridian, enjoyed the beauty of Alaska for 20 years, and appreciated the country living in Wayne County, TN for his last 10 years.
Mr. Locke departed this life on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 6 Months, 1 Day.
Other than his mother and his wife, he is survived by sons, Tracy Locke, Leesburg, FL, Chad (Kit) Watts and wife, Tami, Juneau, AK; daughters, Lori Locke and husband, Lee Petrucci, Cape Coral, FL, Jaime Watts and husband, Paul Moran, Juneau, AK; grandchildren, Jenna Locke, Leesburg, FL, Kasey Watts, Mesa and Stella Moran all of Juneau, AK; sisters, Janelle Wade and husband, Wayne, Plant City, FL, Shirley Akins and husband, Dale, Tarrytown, FL, Laura Collins and husband, Weldon, Youngsville, LA; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, November 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Purcell Funeral Home in Bushnell,FL. Burial will follow in the Linden Cemetery Linden, FL with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN assisting the family locally. A memorial service will be held at the Natural Bridge, Waynesboro, TN, Sunday, December 18, 2011.
