Winda Dennis

Winda Louise Rich Dennis departed this life on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 2 days. She was born in Savannah, Tennessee on September 19, 1946, the daughter of the late Tom Frank and Margaret Neill Rich. On March 23, 1963 she was united in marriage to Billy Joe Dennis who preceded her in death on April 16, 2022.

Winda was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. Her love of photography, especially of sunsets, was captivating. She was able to find the beauty in the mundane through her photos. She loved working in her flower beds, never meeting a flower that refused to bloom. She loved her cats and her pet cow Red.

She worked at Savannah Mfg. for many years and made many lifelong friends there. She also worked with her family at T.F Rich's Store.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Dennis and Kim Hammock; grandchildren, Emily Hammock, Matt Hammock, and Clark Dennis; sisters, Sue Vanhoose and Gayle Tidwell; and brothers, Wayland Rich, Jerry Rich, Demus Rich, and Teddy Rich.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Dennis; nephews, Tony Tidwell, Soren Carothers, Brian Rich, and Rhett Dennis; and nieces, Jamie Rich and Gina Dennis.
