Winston Wilson "Butch" Butler

Winston Wilson "Butch" Butler was born on January 16, 1947 in Highland Park, MI the son of the late Jesse "Mutt" and Carmen Wilson Butler from the Fairview Community of south Wayne County. Winston graduated from Centerline High School and joined the Marines. He honorably served his country from 1965-1968 and then he worked at General Dynamics until the mid 80's when he then moved to Wayne County to join his retired parents. He grew up spending summers in Tennessee with his grandparents on the farm. He enjoyed the slower pace of the country living and made Tennessee his forever home.

Winston loved cars. He and his father enjoyed going to Nascar races. He owned several sports cars and enjoyed detailing them. His cars were kept in immaculate condition. Winston lived life to its fullest and the way he wanted.

Winston has spent the last 15 years in a VA Foster home. He made friends easily and enjoyed watching television and smoking his Lucky Strikes while sitting outside. Winston was a quiet man with few words. His last years were challenging but he always kept a good attitude. He will be highly missed by his caregiver and medical team.

Winston departed this life on November 12, 2025 in Murfreesboro, TN at the age of 78 years and 10 Months.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Railroad Cemetery in Iron City, TN.
