W.W. Hodge was born October 22, 1917 in Hardeman County, Tennessee the son of the late William Terry Hodge and Maude Crawford Hodge.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lilly Flora Hodge, on May 2, 1984. He later married Doris Tims Hodge, who died on June 25, 2004. Mr. Hodge was a former Hardeman County Judge and Sheriff. He was a farmer and owned a grocery store in Middleton. He was a graduate of Middleton High School class of 1935 and an active life-long democrat. He served his country in the US Army from 1944-46 as a Military Police. He was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Tennessee.
Mr. Hodge departed this life on September 21, 2010 in Bolivar, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 10 Months, 30 Days.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Hodge of Olive Branch, MS, Larry Hodge of Clifton, TN; a brother, W. T. Hodge Jr. of Medon, TN; three grandchildren, Gerald Hodge of Olive Branch, MS, Billy Hodge of Nashville, TN, Ben Hodge of Smyrna, TN; two great grandchildren, Nathan Hodge of Olive Branch, MS, Zach Hodge of Olive Branch, MS; and a niece, Donna Stern of Memphis, TN.
