Yvonne Ellis Hanna was born on November 05, 1942 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Maureen Douglas Ellis.
On July 27, 1963, she was united in marriage to Sam Hanna, who preceded her in death on June 5, 2007.
Yvonne was a homemaker. She was a member of Savannah Church of Christ, Daughters of The American Revolution where she served as past regent and post treasurer, and United Daughters of the Confederacy. Yvonne donated the land for the Veterans Memorial Park and served on the Board of Directors. She was very proud to be a part of bringing about the Veterans Park in Savannah, Tennessee. She loved to travel, take cruises and spend time with her grandkids.
She departed this life on Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 5 months, and 1 day.
Yvonne is survived by her son, John Hanna (Ginger) of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Mary Beth Gibb (Robin) of Farnborough, Hampshire England; and grandchildren, Alistair Gibb, Charles Gibb, Lucy Gibb and Zoe Hanna.
In addition to her parents and husband, Yvonne was preceded in death by her son, Quinton Hanna, Jr.; brother, Charles Ellis; sister, Ann Ellis Maxwell; and grandson, William Ellis Hanna.
