ZETTA MAE DICKEY
Henderson, TN: Zetta Mae White Wamble Dickey age 87 passed away Thursday morning December 22, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born June 6, 1929 in Bethel Springs, and grew up at Bethel Springs and Enville, the daughter of the late Douglas White. She married Robert Lee Wamble. She lived in Henderson and worked at Salant & Salant. She married Matthew Dickey. They made their home in Memphis, Ramer, Union City, Horse Cave, Kentucky and back in Chester County in 1972, the New Friendship Community. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
She was Senior Mrs. Chester County and participated in the District and State Pageants.
Mr. Dickey died in 1996. She continued to make her home in the New Friendship Community.
Mrs. Dickey is survived by two sons, Dr. Tony Wamble of Henderson and Matt Dickey, Jr. of Henderson; a daughter, Patsy Seratt of Finger; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; two half-brothers and five half-sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Joe Hays officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday.
