Mrs. Baker passed away Monday evening at McNairy County Health Care Center.
The widow of James Aubrey Baker, who died in 1967, she was a retired assembly worker from Harman
Automotive, having worked there 20+ years. She was born July 14, 1922, in Hardeman County, daughter
of the late Will and Cora Ann Bass Jackson and lived all of her life here. She enjoyed gardening and
growing flowers and loved reading, especially the Bible. Mrs. Baker was a member of Hebron Baptist
Church.
Survivors include a brother, Gun Jackson of Memphis; a sister, Shirley Wilson of Bolivar; five
grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchid. She was preceded in death by a
daughter, Peggy Y. Bishop; a son, Billy D. Baker; five sisters and two brothers. The family requests
memorials be directed to the Gideons International.
