Zula Mae Bishop

ZULA BISHOPHenderson, TN: Zula Mae Lewis Bishop, age 92, passed away October 7, 2009 at Chester County Healthcare.She was born and reared in Hardin County, the daughter of the late James Andrew and Ollie Etta Hubanks Lewis. She attended school in Hardin County and was married to Raymond Bishop in 1935. They made their home in Henderson where Mr. Bishop farmed and was in the trucking business. She was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church.She is survived by four daughters; Gloria May of Union City, Ann Newman of Henderson, Genia McCann of Horn Lake, MS and Imogene Naylor of Henderson; six sons, Gerald Bishop of West Memphis, AR, Larry Bishop of Henderson, Jerry Bishop of Tempe, AZ, James Ray Bishop of Henderson, Danny Bishop of Jackson and Dennis Bishop of Chandler, AZ; twenty one grandchildren and thirty nine great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, D.R. Bishop in 1972 and two grandchildren, Melinda Newman and Brandon Bishop.
