David C. Davis

November 27, 1941 - April 2, 2022

David C. Davis was born on November 27, 1941 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Elmer C. and Zora L. Davis. On August 1, 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Sue Ingle, who survives. David honorably served his country in the United States National Guard from 1964 until 1968. Throughout his life, he resided in Savannah, Tennessee, Jackson, Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, and Southaven, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Memphis and went on to work at Jackson Utility Department and Memphis Area Transit Company as an accountant and office manager. Mr. Davis was a member of Lakeland Civic Club in Lakeland, Tennessee, Foursquare Church in Savannah, Tennessee, and Lord's Church in Bartlett, Tennessee. David sang with the Guardsmen Quartet of West Tennessee in his 20's and traveled all around West Tennessee and Mississippi to sing. David C. Davis departed this life on April 2, 2022 in Lakeland, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 6 days. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Sue Ingle Davis of Lakeland, Tennessee and his son, Sean C. Davis of Memphis, Tennessee.
