    Betty Jean Parsons

    May 19, 1943 - April 15, 2022

Betty Jean Parsons was born May 19, 1943, in rural McNairy County to her parents, the late Gilbert S. Keen and Edna Taylor (Keen) Griffin. She was united in marriage to Larry William Parsons on February 14, 1990. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2017, following 27 years of marriage. She worked for McNairy County Veterinarian's Clinic and Medic Home Health for many years. She was Baptist in faith. Some of her favorite hobbies were quail hunting and fishing, walking the riverbanks treasure hunting, and playing with her grand-dogs. Betty departed this life on Friday, April 15, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 10 Months, 27 Days. Betty had resided at Northbrooke Health and Rehab in Jackson, TN since January 2017. We wish to express our gratitude for the care she received by the entire staff. We also wish to express our gratitude to TN Quality Hospice Jackson, TN as well as their entire staff. She was especially fond of her doctor, Dr. Jere D. Hammond. She is survived by a son, Larry Gene Murry of Stantonville, TN; a daughter, Donna J. King and husband Dennis of Henderson, TN; a grandson, AJ Eubanks and wife Amy; two great-grandchildren, Harrison Eubanks and Parker Dotson; and two sisters, Geneva Moore and husband Ray of Savannah, TN, and Dean McEwen of Corinth, MS; and well as many nieces and nephews who fondly called aunt "Bet". In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by four brothers: Danny Lee Keen (Infant), Junior Keen, Cecil Keen, and William "Bo" Keen.
