Mary Alice Miller of Stantonville, Tennessee

Mary Alice Miller was born October 1, 1941 in Waddy, KY the daughter of the late Samuel Foree Miller and Jean Lorraine Hawkins Miller. Mary was the salutatorian of her high school graduating class. She went on to cosmetology school, later owning and operating beauty shops in Kentucky and Arkansas. She retired from Larry Raines Realty after working as an agent for over 20 years. Over her life span, she lived in Waddy and Frenchburg, KY, Albuquerque, NM, and Savannah, GA. She was a member of Sinner's Hope Church. While living in Frenchburg, she attended First Southern Baptist and Waddy Baptist church. She was a member of the Homemakers Club of Frenchburg, KY. She loved to go to Tunica to the casino and was very good at playing the slot machines. She enjoyed playing board games, cards and doing puzzles with her family. Her love for animals was special and often would buy a hamburger for stray dogs that she would see in town. Cooking, growing plants and flowers, and spending time with her family and friends brought her great joy. Mary was a very determined lady and succeeded in anything she pursued. Mrs. Miller departed this life on March 12, 2022 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 5 Months, 11 Days. She is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Miller of Stantonville, TN; a son, Robert William Sons and wife Angela of Mt. Grove, MO; a daughter, Belinda Ann Comer of Stantonville, TN; stepdaughter, Kristy Lynn Bennett of Booneville, MS; stepson, Raymond Keith Miller of Adamsville, TN; two sisters, Janie Lee Fender and husband David of Calico Rock, AR, Joyce Marie Foster and partner Mike Plummer of Muncie, IN; a brother, Stewart Allen Miller of Waddy, KY; seven grandchildren, Gabrielle Hughes of Louisville, KY, Rex Mason Sons of Calico Rock, AR, Stephaniee Jordan Sons of Mt. Grove, MO, Faith Marie Parsons of Colombus, MO, Samantha Jean Sons of Mt. Grove, MO, Bridget Mae Sons of Colombus, MO, and Michael Lee Stevens of Calico Rock, AR; six step grandchildren, Jessie Lee Bennett and partner Alexandria Reno, Jordan Keith Bennett, Jonah Phillip Bennett and partner Katherine Hames, Kathryn Lynn Bennett, Nicholas Brett Miller and Zakkery Ian Miller; great granddaughter, Cecilia Ann Bruce; step great granddaughter, Charlotte Ann Bennett; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a son, Claude Eugene Hughes; a brother, Daniel Foree Miller; close friend, Mary Smithers.
