Justin Petty, 42, of Bolivar, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in Bolivar. He was born January 2, 1980, in Bolivar, son of the late Gary Lynn Petty and Deborah Ann Grace Petty, and lived most of his life here. He was a member of First United Methodist Church until the age of 23 and would still attend after that from time to time with his mother. He adored his daughter, Layla Marie Petty, with all his heart and was a devoted uncle to his nephew and his nieces. He loved living life outdoors, fishing, woodwork, dirt bike riding, golf and practicing playing the guitar and harmonica. Survivors include his daughter, Layla Marie Petty of Bells; a sister, Melissa Ann Russell of Bolivar; a brother, Jeremy Lee Deming of San Pedro, CA; a nephew, Isak Ross Deming and two nieces, Kindle Grace Russell and Kilee Faith Russell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at www.supporting.afsp.org.
